English for Speakers of Other Languages
ESOL classes are designed for refugee/immigrant adults who want to improve their reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills in English. Classes are interactive and cover many topics including everyday English, goal setting, school and jobs in the U.S., and study skills. Classes also include technology skills so students can practice navigating the Internet, use email, and create documents and presentations.
Fall ESOL classes are currently FULL, but you may add your information to our waitlist here.
Students who are confirmed to attend ESOL classes at The Hub can come to a class session to get registered (arrive 15 minutes prior to class time). They are not required to attend ESOL Orientation.
If you need to attend classes at a different time, in a different format, or are looking for a higher English level, please contact the ELCAP Office on Highline’s main campus in Des Moines.
The Hub offers ESOL classes in-person Mondays/Wednesdays, 6:00-8:20pm. Students must attend both classes, each week, regularly.
